What we do:
Check on the entire propulsion system
Calculations and specification on the elastic mounts regarding the main engines, gearboxes and generator sets.
Prediction of noise levels emitted by all the main sound sources such as main engines, gearboxes, generator sets and propulsion systems.
Whirling and axial vibration by means of FEM (Lloyds approved).
Check on the propeller or water jet impeller design.
Insulation plans (longitudinal section on centerline and top view on each deck) including detail A3-format drawings.
Weight calculations and center of gravity.
Prediction of noise levels with each specified material by means of our advanced computer simulation model, this model includes room acoustics like absorption, influence of portholes / windows etc..
Finite Element Method calculations on important structures like bulkheads, decks, hull plating above the propeller Engine / gearbox and generator foundation(s).
Cabin to cabin noise study (STC).
Study on all secondary machinery, elastic mounts and foundations (hydraulic equipment, winches, davits, and even dishwashers, laundry equipment, refrigerators, etc.)
Study and specification on air conditioning (fan coil or duct system).
Final report on noise and vibration control design.
BENTLEY Marine Turbine Foundation Analisys
Statistic Energy Analysis (SEA). BENTLEY Yachts offers the ultimate in noise and vibration control with Statistic Energy Analysis (S.E.A.), which gives our yachts the "optimum" balance between the ship structure / sound sources and anti-noise and vibration measures. S.E.A. is performed through a full 3-D computer simulation model that has being used for a long time in the aerospace industry. The S.E.A. model starts with the ship structure, after that all main and secondary sound sources can be added and finally all elementary insulation materials are put inside the model. This means that each modification related to the structure or elastic mounts or sound sources or insulation materials can be modeled, and the results are given by this model. The Finite Element Method calculations give the necessary information concerning the mobility of the ship structure especially in the lower frequencies, while S.E.A. gives information concerning high frequency noise. Information related to structures and their treatments like damping, radiation, irradiation, insulation values etc. are also provided by this computer model. All ship interior spaces (within the ship structure) can be modeled as well as cabin to cabin noise. The results are presented as dB(A) values and dB values versus the 1/1 or 1/3 frequency band.
